Mr. Dean was born and educated in South Florida for over 40
years, where he has been a participant in many sports related activities. Mr.
Dean is a Member of the Southern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar. He is also
a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Broward County
Bar, and T. J. Reddick Bar Association. Mr. Dean is a member in good standing of
the Northern, Middle and Southern District Federal Courts in Florida. He is also
an active member of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal and is a qualified to
argue before the United States Supreme Court.
While attending the University of Miami School of Law, Mr.
Dean was the President of the Society of Bar and Gavel, the law school’s honor
society. He also, received the President’s Pinnacle Award. Mr. Dean served the
students of the University of Miami in student government as a Senator where he
was named Co-Chair in 98 and Chair in 1999. Mr. Dean was also won and
represented the school as a team in the Moot Court Client Counseling Competition
in 1999. Mr. Dean also was a member of various other organizations while
attending the Law School.
Mr. Dean has participated and conducted approximately 40
Jury Trials. These trials range from Misdemeanors to Felony Trials. While at the
Office of the Public Defenders, Mr. Dean was awarded the prestigious Misdemeanor
Attorney of the Year Award in 2000. Mr. Dean has also worked with Howard
Finklestein (also known as Help Me Howard) while at the Public Defender’s
Office. He is well versed with the Criminal Judges in Broward County.
